Port A RV Resort

I hope ya'll are ready for a LOT of reading!! This is by far one of our favorite parks. We are here at least three times a year. I could talk for days about the amazing staff, friendly people, clean space, big spots, fantastic amenities, seriously! Like all the things!

Let's talk people, last year Port A RV went under new management and I was a little worried that things would go downhill. We saw it in the past and I was really hoping it would stay the same. Honestly, it got better! The staff is so sweet. They call to confirm on your check-in day. Registration is quick and easy. You can book online or in person. They are not a Good Sam park currently but they do offer a military or first responder discount. Port A RV does offer winter Texan rates, as well as discounts for week or month long stays. Deposit is required, but that is pretty standard now. They do offer mail pickup, which is HUGE for full-time families. You can have your mail delivered right o the park and it goes to the "mail room" sorted by name.

This park is beautiful! It is always very clean and they insure spots stay neat. It backs up to a nature preserve so you have gorgeous sunsets! The spots are decent size, majority of them you could have room for two cars and your rig. There are a few that are smaller. We have never had issue with back in or pull-thru spots here. This is a great park for kiddos on bikes, it is very flat and you have clear line of sight. They have two huge beautiful pools. Both pools are heated which makes this a year around spot! The pools are always very clean and well maintained. Pool #1 at the front of the park has a small wading area that is 6 inches and a larger oval-ish space. It also has a hot tub and a pavilion. This pool is much more shaded than pool #2. Pool #2 sits towards the back of the property and has a beach entrance on one side and 6 inch wading section on the other. This side is definitely larger than the pool at the front.

This property boasts TWO massive clubhouses, 3 bathhouses, onsite laundry, and a fitness center.

The laundry facility is small for the park size but we have never had a problem getting laundry done when needed. They have older machines with the quarter system and a change machine.

Spacious clubhouses are amazing hangout spaces. Both facilities have a full kitchen, couches, tables, chairs, and TVs.

Bathhouses are always clean and we have never experienced the icky "bathroom" smell like you do at some parks.

Park wi-fi is really good! We didn't need to connect our booster, just basic park wi-fi we were able to stream while I worked and had no issues.

Our 4 legged family members LOVE the big grassy areas around all of these sites. They do have a small dog park for the dogs to run around but it is not huge by any means. We have never had a bad encounter with another dog at this park. They do have breed restrictions so be sure to make sure your fur-babies fit the requirements.

It is not on the "beachside" but it is a quite jump across the road to hit the beach. Port A RV will always be a family favorite for us. The atmosphere here is incredible. They have lifelong customers from us!
